It seems like everywhere a person goes there is at least one
person in view with a cell phone to their ear whether it is on
the road, in a store, in a parking lot, walking down the street,

concert halls or movie theaters there is the occasional
offender, or more likely, at least a few people using the text
messaging feature on their phone.
Cell phone usage has exploded over the past decade and continues
to rise. Nearly two hundred ...

OK, enough of the philosophy! What, specifically, do I recommend
you take to overcome your cancer and get "cancer-free." [We're
not using the word "cure" simply because, as you recall, we're
healthy with just a million or so cancer cells being produced
every day by our cell division process.]
So, you have gotten a start on changing your lifestyle -- diet,
exercise and supplements. You have started on a program to
stimulate your immune system. What's next?

As if the chlorine in drinking water wasn't bad enough, now we've learned about drugs found in drinking water too. What else are we going to have to worry about? The news reports and public health officials assure us that these drug traces are not health hazards. Yes, it is true; you don't see people dying from those traces, but you also don't see people dying from chlorine in drinking water. What's worrying is the long-term effect that these chemicals have on cells in the body. Natural health ...

It is safer to have a golden tan using commercial tanning beds.
Just ask the more than one million Americans visiting tanning
salons each day, bronzing their skins with these beds.
Or is it?
More and more research studies have shown that while the $2
billion-a-year tanning industry promotes that tanning indoors
are safer than sunbathing, ultraviolet exposure from these
commercial tanning beds is just as dangerous as direct tanning
from lying in the sun.
These findings add credibility to the ...

Cancer is the second leading cause of death in North America
(after heart and other cardiovascular diseases) and breast
cancer is among the leading causes of death among women. Cancer

accounts for about a third of the cases and diet is blamed for
another 30-50 per cent, although the relationship between food

One of the major breakthroughs in the study of potential cancer treatments to date is the use of 'everyday aspirin' to reduce the risk and spread of colon cancer. Researchers throughout the world quickly clung to the concept and the study has produced a variety of different results most of which appears 'too good to be true'. At the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, they studied the results of aspirin on over 800 stage three cancer patients. Each of which received standard chemotherapy and ...

A brain tumor is a mass or growth of abnormal cells in your brain. Many different types of brain tumors exist. Some brain tumors are noncancerous (benign), and some brain tumors are cancerous (malignant). Brain tumors can begin in your brain (primary brain tumors), or cancer can begin in other parts of your body and spread to your brain (secondary, or metastatic brain tumors). The number of brain tumors diagnosed each year is increasing. There's evidence the increase has been occurring for ...

Mesothelioma is cancer that affects the mesothelium which is the lining or membrane that protects and covers most of the internal organs in the body cavity. The first layer encircles the organ and the second layer forms a sac for protection. There is a lubricating fluid present between the layers to facilitate movement. The mesothelium is called pericardium when it covers the heart, pleura when covering the lungs and peritoneum when covering the abdominal organs. In mesothelioma there is ...

The question about whether any sort of sun tan is safe is one that's asked constantly and brings a different answer depending on who you ask.
Recently U.S. and British researchers reviewed published studies and noticed that both tans and skin cancer start with changes to the DNA that comes from ultraviolet light. "The signals in the cells that induce sun tanning appear to be DNA damage," said Dorothy Bennett, a cell biologist at St. George's University of London. She insists that anything ...

Cancer is probably the most frightening of all diseases. It gets scarier as we get older as we accumulate a closer connection with the disease as more and more friends or even family members experience it. As it is responsible for one in four deaths and is the second leading cause of death in our modern world it seems unstoppable. We can't help but wonder if it will happen to us, and we could be forgiven for thinking that cancer is something that we have no control over. But would it help stop ...

and has increased 2000% since 1930. There are a lot of questions

certainly contributing to the condition. However, the fact
remains that this killer disease is taking more victims all the
time. It is essential for all of us to begin to think clearly

Cancer is not some foreign invader which has to be cut, burned
or poisoned in hopes that it will die before the patient dies.
No, cancer is simply a temporoary malfunction in your normal

Looking tanned is such a great feeling, isn't it?
There are three methods of getting that feeling. 1.Getting out
into the sun. Great if you are young, and believe that all this
hype about skin cancer has nothing to do with you. Goes hand in
hand with high alcohol consumption, speeding and living on
credit. It will catch up with you sooner than you think.

Attack of the Cancer Fighting Tomatoes By Michael Brooks
That's right, the colorful little fruit (yes, it's a fruit) has
been shown to pack a powerful punch against several forms of
cancer. A variety of studies indicate that a diet rich in tomato
based products (tomato paste, sauce, juice, soup and ketchup)
can significantly reduce the risk of prostate, lung and colon
cancer. Not bad for a fruit that was considered by many to be
poisonous and inedible until the 19th century.

Pleural mesothel
ioma is a rare type of cancer. This cancer affects the
pleural sac that surrounds the lungs and is caused by exposure
to asbestos. The pleural sac contains the lungs and also a small
membrane called the mesothelium. The mesothelium secretes a
fluid that allows the lungs to contract and expand during
breathing. The inhalation of asbestos causes a build-up of
asbestos fibers inside the lungs. Due to the microscopic size
and sharpness of these fibers it's possible for them ...

Following my partner, Glenn's, diagnosis with an aggressive form

medical researchers who have come to the conclusion that cancer

A metabolic disease is one that develops as a result of our
metabolism becoming corrupted. Simply put - metabolism is "the
chemical processes occurring within a living cell or organism
that are necessary for the maintenance of life."
The medical researchers suggest that the ...

The treatment process of cancer begins with etiology through diagnosis and ends with management. Physicians have very different approaches in their treatment of different cases of cancer. This is because patients respond differently to cancerous development and the doctor has to start by understanding the patient's cancer condition at the time of diagnosis. Treatment therefore depends on the stage of cancer a patient is at the time of diagnosis and this varies between each patient. There are ...

The trauma that cancer patients experience after a positive diagnosis, simply put, is overtly agonizing. If the cancer type is malignant tumors, the pain is even more serious and really traumatizing because there is a realization that life is suddenly coming to a premature end. Thalidomide, Asbestos, Tobacco: Name three things not considered dangerous when introduced to the public. We may have our fourth; cell phones. While we still don't know for sure that there is a direct link between cell phones and cancer, one has to wonder how it could be possible to place an object next to the head that generates an electromagnetic field for thousands of minutes a month (go check your bill); and yet not have any long term health risks?
Cellular telephones emit radio ...

A cancer diet needs a good balance of minerals because minerals
are needed by all cells for proper function. Patients are often
found to be mineral deficient, so this is an area of the diet
that needs particular attention.
There are two classes of minerals. Macrominerals, such as the
well known calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium and phosphorus,
and microminerals, such as boron, chromium, copper, iron,
iodine, germanium, sulfur, silicon, vanadium, zinc, manganese
and molybdenum.

One rare form of cancer is called Mesothelioma, a malignant

arising from the inhalation of asbestos. Its rarity is one of
the reasons why a lot of people are not aware of this kind of

undiagnosed. Although there is now a growing awareness of the
hazards of asbestos to health, still many have not heard of
Mesothelioma and thus, have not understood its nature, cause,

Colorectal cancer will take nearly 50,000 lives the year, and is our country's second largest killer. Screening is available, though there is a significant effort required in terms of preparation and the time needed to perform the test. For most people, the recommendation for your first colonoscopy is at age 50, though it may be sooner if you have risk factors for colon cancer or have noted any potential colon cancer symptoms.
If you've heard horror stories about colonoscopy, the test used ...

Pleural mesothelioma is a rare type of cancer. This cancer
affects the pleural sac that surrounds the lungs and is caused
by exposure to asbestos. The pleural sac contains the lungs and
also a small membrane called the mesothelium. The mesothelium
secretes a fluid that allows the lungs to contract and expand
during breathing. The inhalation of asbestos causes a build-up
of asbestos fibers inside the lungs. Due to the microscopic size
and sharpness of these fibers it's possible for them ...

One of the challenges of cancer therapy is how to deplete tumor
cells of glutathione, so as to make them more vulnerable to the

stages.
The cause of pericardial mesothelioma is exposure to asbestos
dust and fibres. As little as a couple of months of exposure to
asbestos fibres can lead to pericardial mesothelioma between

Mesothelioma and asbestos are so much linked that many people
call it by the name of mesothelioma asbestos. While mesothelioma
is a serious cancer, asbestos is its main cause. While one may

effect on the surroundings decides the worthiness of that
product in the end. The same holds true with asbestos. The 1940s
and 1950s saw a surge of 'asbestos' as the next best thing to
happen after cement in the construction industry. Due to ...

The startling fact is that, where there are no bras, there is
little breast cancer.
The main problem with bras appears to be that they block the
circulation of the lymph system. Try this: at the end of the
day, take off your bra and look in the mirror. If you can see
lines on your skin left by your bra, it is cutting off the
circulation of your lymph system. Remember, your health is more
important than how society thinks you should look.
The lymph system is an important part of the body's ...

The cause of mesothelioma cancer:
Mesothelioma is a cancer caused by exposure to asbestos without
sufficient protection over one's mouth and nose. Asbestos is a

How much chemotherapy does an obese woman need? Typically an
obese woman with breast cancer would receive reduced doses of
chemotherapy as they battle breast cancer. Back in June of 2005,
a study published in the Archives of Internal Medicine concluded
that obese women should receive chemotherapy based on actual
women, and not in reduced amounts as the standard practice.
And now again a study presented in the August 2005 edition of
Lancet claims that doctors should not reduce chemotherapy ...

When it comes to green tea and prostate cancer prevention, health experts agree that it may help. If you are looking for a treatment, your best source for information is a doctor of naturopathic medicine or an ND. They are aware of standard treatments, as well as complementary and alternative treatments. Many men seek these kinds of treatments on their own, but the greatest degree of success is seen when an ND is consulted and their advice is followed. Prostate cancer has the second ...

The latest issue of the journal Breast Cancer Research, carries a study from the National Cancer Institute. Over the years, there has been an accumulation of evidence that overweight women who have been through the menopause have increased risks of breast cancer. What was less clear were the potential benefits of physical exercise. This study examined the lifestyles of some 32,000 women through a questionnaire requesting details of their physical and leisure activities. This moved up from the ...

"Prostate cancer is a major killer of men! How is it then that
in a poll 96% of men knew nothing at all about the prostate
gland. Prostate Cancer is the most common diagnosed cancer in
the USA and UK. Next to lung cancer it is the second leading
cause of cancer death in men in the USA."
Women know more about men's health than men do themselves and
that's a fact. Why is that? Is it because we find it hard to
discuss these things? Is it because it's not macho! From the

Adenocarcinoma cancer is a specific type of cancer that occurs in cells lining internal organs. The most common area for adenocarcinoma cancer is the lungs, but it can show up in the colon, prostate, ovaries, stomach, pancreas, and other areas. Vegetarian diets-naturally low in saturated fat, high in fiber, and replete with cancer-protective phytochemicals-help to prevent cancer. Large studies in England and Germany have shown that vegetarians are about 40 percent less likely to develop cancer compared to meat-eaters.
In the U.S., studies of ...
